Geothermal HVAC and domestic hot water, coupled with solar energy create a unique opportunity for an extremely efficient and sustainable solution for multi-family housing, both market rate and affordable. The Inflation Reduction Act provides tax credits of 40% on geothermal projects, resulting in a highly efficient building that is competitive with other HVAC systems on a cost basis. Often, the geothermal system is the less expensive option. And the owner can enjoy a highly reliable, energy efficient building with minimal maintenance costs, and a tremendous hedge against the rising cost of energy.
