Rochester General Hospital’s decision to locate the new Lipson Cancer Center in the suburban Linden Oaks Medical Campus was driven by a desire to provide better access to patients and families on the growing eastside of the Rochester area. The facility is located on two floors of a medical building and houses a new, state-of-the-art linear accelerator (Clinac iX by Varian), The facility also houses a pharmacy, laboratory, infusion rooms and chairs, exam rooms and support spaces. Care areas include a twelve chair infusion suite with operable privacy screens, supporting nurse stations and examination rooms. Additional service areas include social work, a conference room with state-of-the-art video conferencing capability, patient education areas and staff support spaces.
