We worked closely with the architect, physicist, and PET scanner manufacturer to ensure all utilities were designed to the tight tolerances they require. The PET scanner works with highly radioactive substances, requiring a ½” lead envelope to protect spaces outside the room. This facility is one of only two PET scanners in the Rochester area.
